• The Illinois Association of County Veterans Assistance Commissions, Inc. is dedicated to the assistance and support of the 744,710 Illinois Veterans.

  • The Veterans Assistance Commission is a Separate Governmental Agency, under the County umbrella of benefits and funding, that is operated by Veterans. The Commission is designed to provide needed services, including financial aid, veteran services and advocacy services to military veterans and their families that reside within said county.

  • Local Veteran Organizations in the county are responsible for forming a VAC, as is allowed under the Illinois Compiled Statues, The Military Veterans Assistance Act. Found in Chapter 330 ILCS 45/0.01 and Chapter 55 ILCS5/5-2006.

  • The VAC networks closely with all Veterans Organizations, local, state and federal agencies to insure the rights and benefits that each veteran is entitled to, have been granted.

Our goal is to truly follow the Lincoln legacy.

"To care for those who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow and his orphan."
